The 2015 Detroit auto show will start with two press days January 12 and 13. The first major car show of the year will run though January 25.
The Detroit gathering, officially called the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), will take place against the backdrop of a strong North American car market.
According to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), October light-vehicle sales rose 6.0 pc from year-earlier levels. Sales for the first 10 months of the year totaled 13.6 million, up 5.4 pc higher than a year earlier.
Following the two press days, the Detroit show will have an industry day on January 14. Following the traditional Charity Preview on the 16th, the exhibition will open to the public on January 17.
In 2014, 803,451 people attended the Detroit auto show, which featured 50 regional or global new model unveilings.
